Although it got an average rating of 2.5 to 3 from most of the media house and newspapers it got a positive and welcoming response from the audience. It received a mixed response from critics as they thought there is nothing new in the films.
Ananya Bhattacharya of India Today said: “Dishoom deserves accolades for the slickly choreographed action scenes. The chase sequences are fun to watch. The lavishly done helicopter chase deserves a special mention.”
Rohit Vats of Hindustan Times said: “The relatively short length of the movie (124 minutes) helps Dishoom rise above the clichés. It’s a formula potboiler that serves the purpose of entertainment if you’re looking for some light moments.”
A full entertainer with good star cast. Varun and John took the film to new heights and watching the cameo of Akshay was a cherry on the cake. So all in all a good movie for this weekend, a full family entertainer with elements of comedy and good music with a dance number by Parineeti is a treat to watch.
