Critic Reviews and Box-office Collection
The day One collection of Sultan was Rs 37-38 crore approx., which is comparatively less than other Salman movies. IMDB rated Sultan a 6.8 on 10. Shubhra Gupta of the Indian Express said: “Sultan is an entertainer with heft. Salman Khan aces it with a full-bodied, fully-earned performance in the movie and is ably supported by rest of the cast.”
Rohit Vats of Hindustan Times said: “Sultan has all the right ingredients of a ‘masala’ potboiler, and whistling and sobbing are likely to go hand-in-hand here. Don’t go looking for a twist ending, though.”
The film got a good opening but this time, Salman couldn’t break his record. This is not the typical drama movie but filled with some wow moments, amazing script and story and excellent performances by the stars. Due to Sultan’s release dated in EID Shah Rukh shifted the release of Races, which was also dated for EID this year.
This is a pure Salman Khan show that has always proved his presence to be magnificent at the box-office. Sultan was the most awaited film of the year 2016 and is expected to be the biggest blockbuster of this year. The movie got a huge outstanding response all over the world. I would say an amazing treat for EID as well as for the weekend for the entire family. It is for sure you will come out smiling out of the theaters so your seats now.
