‘To truly appreciate what Anurag Kashyap is trying to do here, you may have to lose a part of yourself to it, first,’ Deborah Young of The Hollywood Reporter wrote, “The story could have turned into one huge cliché, and there are genre elements that are numbingly familiar, was it not for the exceptionally scary performance of Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the role of the villainous, demented serial killer Ramanna.”
Thriller is not new to Bollywood; some action thriller movies come every year. But not all make its way to being a blockbuster. Raman Raghav 2.0 gave huge hopes with its trailers and storyline but somewhere the director and writer lost the grip from the movie in the second half although the first half had some amazing moments that will keep you sit back in suspense.
The main part of the movie is the Raman the actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who took the movie to next level and carried the whole movie on his shoulders. His acting no doubt the best in the movie and other actors also tried their best to make up for the weak write-up and directorial part.
So Nawazuddin fans will not be disappointed as he kept his pace as always and will make you see the whole movie of 140 minutes. The music was of Ram Sampath that gave some life to the film. On the whole, it could be a much better thriller but still can be a one time watch.
