OK Jaanu: Story Plot
The movie starts with a low pace amidst the hustle of Mumbai city. Adi and Tara are shown moving to Mumbai to follow their dreams achieve their goals in life. To add a little bit of sparkling romance, both the lead actors, Tara and Adi meet and decide on no strings attached romance till the time their careers come in between. The romance goes at a very smooth pace until their careers become a hurdle and both of them have to decide between career and the other one. The story goes on smoothly with little mystery as to who will choose what ahead in their lives?
The movie is a sweet love story of two people who are quite ambitious in their lives but at the same time are too much in love. The movie does not show any major crisis and the characters are very wisely chosen for the roles. Despite the confusion between the love story and career path, the climax of the film can be interpreted very easily. The movie neither depicts any of the ‘real career’ problems nor any logical thinking according to Indian parents. Also, the sparkling romance between the two characters is not much vivid.
OK Jaanu has received mixed reviews; here’s what major film critics have to say about this movie:
Times of India: “Throughout the movie, Adi (Aditya Roy Kapur) and Tara (Shraddha Kapoor) seem to be running after trains or buses in motion, barely getting in before it’s too late – a great metaphor for the love lives of people of today’s generation.”
The movie only shows a typical true Bollywood love story. Despite the fact that the movie is a perfect blend of actors, music, and locations it fails to impress the audience based on the story. One can still prefer watching the movie for entertainment and to enjoy the hit songs of the movie on the large screen. Do post your reviews in the comment section below.
