Kahaani 2: Story Plot
Vidya Sinha is seen as a single mother who lives in Chandan Nagar, West Bengal with her daughter Mini Sinha. Mini is seen paralyzed waist downwards and so uses a wheelchair. Vidya works extremely hard so that she can save money and fulfill her dream of taking Mini to America. One fine day, Mini goes missing, and Vidya runs from pillar to pillar in search of her daughter.
Arjun Rampal gets this case, and he gets the shock of his life when he sees the face of a woman who is in a coma. The film covers how Arjun and Vidya are connected to each other and how they both manage to get Mini back in Vidya’s life.
The movie has received mixed, however, great reviews all over the world and has managed to receive 7.1/10 rating on IMDb. The first half of the movie is excellently directed, and Vidya has done great work. The story of the second half is quite predictable, and at some point, the story gets slightly clumsy. The first half of the movie is highly praised because of the roles played by both Vidya and Arjun.
Here’s what Times of India had to say about this Bollywood film: “This sequel directed by Sujoy Ghosh after a gap of four years is a whodunit that definitely serves up intrigue, but fails to keep a tight grip on proceedings throughout its duration. So unlike the first part, that hit the ground running and set a benchmark in the genre, this one lacks the shark-bite.”
